Papers of Army nurse Marcia Gates, who served in Bataan, Corregidor during World War II and who was taken prisoner by the Japanese in 1942 and interred at the Santo Tomas camp in the Philippines until 1945. Included are scrapbooks compiled by her mother containing correspondence, photographs, and clippings; a published collection of internment camp newspapers ("Internews"); a travel diary; her obituary; a collection of medals and memorabilia; and several unmounted photographs.
